From the City of Lone Tree: "The community is invited to attend the Pedestrian Bridge Groundbreaking Ceremony to mark the beginning of construction on the new pedestrian access over Lincoln Avenue on Thursday, September 29 at 10:30 am. The event will be held in the vacant lot on the north side of Lincoln Avenue, generally adjacent to Chipotle Mexican Grill (9500 Heritage Hills Cir). A pedestrian bridge in this area is projected to reduce vehicle congestion on Lincoln Avenue by alleviating signal progression disruption and will provide a safer connection between popular destinations on both the north and south side of Lincoln Avenue. The project is funded by seven partners including the City of Lone Tree, Douglas County Government, Park Meadows Metropolitan District, South Suburban Parks and Recreation District, RidgeGate Investments, Inc., OmniPark Metropolitan District, and Heritage Metropolitan District. The event is open to the public, and RSVPs are requested. For questions related to the event, please email or call Kristen Knoll, community outreach coordinator with the City of Lone Tree at 303-708-1818. Please note there will be construction on southbound Heritage Hills Circle at the Lincoln Avenue intersection on the day of the event. Southbound Heritage Hills Circle will be reduced to one lane for construction and it is recommended that attendees exit the event going northbound on Heritage Hills Circle, to avoid the construction area."
