For over half a century Tom has been studying and developting Leaders old and young. Melton Leadershihp is not about building an ego or peddling 7 fail-proof steps to success, rather he focuses on your individual challenges and growth.

Melton comes alongside executives and teams to help them discover the truth about their challenges and develop practical plans they can feel confident in. He doesn't have every answer - in fact, he might be better at asking the right questions - but what he does have is the tools to help you find your answer.

Before creating Melton Leadership in 2015, Melton was Vice President of Business Development for the Legacy Center, with a focus on business development. Legacy was honored on the INC. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing private companies in America for eight straight years.

Prior to his work with Melton Leadership and Legacy, Tom was an organizational pastor leader in full-time ministry for 40 years. First as the regional director for the global youth para-church organization, Young Life, in Southern California, and then as an associate pastor at a Denver mega-church, before founding and pastoring Greenwood Community Church in Denver. Tom helped grow the congregation from 25 people in 1991 to several thousand in 2013. At the time, it was one of the largest churches in the U.S., with local, national, and international influence through a “people-empowering” approach. The church’s entrepreneurial spirit reflected Tom’s own core wiring.

Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and holds degrees as Master of Arts, Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He is married to Jill and has three adult children and two grandchildren.
